Fore Knowledge & Progressed Horoscope

The Progressed Horoscope helps to know the future trends according to the nature of the aspects of the planets formed in the coming years. Past events can also be verified from the progressed horoscopes cast for the previous years.

The Horoscope cast for the date, time and place of birth is known as Natal chart or Radix. It indicates your nature and the pattern of your life and the favourable and adverse influence of planets on different aspects of life like health, education, career, marriage, progeny, financial position, property etc.

The aspects of the planets in the progressed Horoscope (PH) indicate when, how, and in which department of life, the favourable and adverse events happen as indicated in the Birth Chart. Aspects formed to the Ascending degree and the Cusp of the 10^th house (MC) should also be taken into account.

The PH is cast on the principle "A day is equalent to one year". So the second day from birth date is regarded as the second year, the 20^th day from the date of birth is taken as 20^th year and so on. For example if a person born on 20/12/1976 at 5:30 PM wants to know the trends from 20/12/2001 to 19/12/2002, he should observe the Progressed Horoscope cast for 14/1/1977 at 5:30 PM. He completed 25 years. So 25 days are added to the date of birth. The Progressed Horoscope indicates the trends during his 26th year, starting from 20/12/2001.

24 hours are equalent to 12 months, if a day is equivalent to a year, and 2 hours are equivalent to 1 month. The average daily speed of Moon ranges from 12 to 15 degrees. So Moon progresses one degree per month, approximately. This helps to know in which month Moon forms an aspect to a planet.

Favourable results can be expected if a planet progresses to a distance of 120 or 60 degrees to another planet in the Birth Chart or Progressed Horoscope. Adverse results may be felt if it progresses to a distance of 90 or 180 degrees to another planet either in the Natal Chart or PH. The results depend on the distance between two planets, and the houses occupied and ruled by the planets concerned.

Moon progresses in each house for about 24 to 30 months and activises the matters governed by each house. Roughly Moon returns to its position in the Natal Chart after 27 years (days), and passes through the 12 houses within 27 years. Progressed Moon's Conjunction with Jupiter, Venus, Mercury or Sun gives good results. Trine and Sextile (120 & 60 degrees) aspects are always favourable. Square and opposition aspects 90 & 180 degrees are adverse.

Moon's progression in the First House can cause changes and journeys and influence your health mind and personal matters. Conjunction with or square or opposition to Saturn, Uranus, Mars or Neptune causes ill health, obstacles disappointment, failure, loss, defeat or difficulties. Conjunctions with Jupiter, Venus, Sun and Mercury or sextile or trine aspects improve health and cause happy events.

Moon's progression in the second house with good aspects gives monetary and material gains. Bad aspects cause losses, expenditure and financial difficulties.

Moon's passage through third house is good for short trips, communications, studies, literary work agreements, contacts, press work, mailing, engagements relationship and dealings with siblings and mates.

Moon's progression in houses 4 to 12 will highlight the matters governed by the concerned houses.

4th house Home, family, mother, land, building, relatives and the place of work. 5th house Education, arts, games, sports, pleasures, children, speculations, love, affection and creative talents. 6th house Job, Industry, health, food, dress, workers, live stock, drugs, physical comforts, diseases etc. 7th house Marriage, spouse, partner, friend, rival opponent, public relations, social life. 8th house Joint and public funds, loans, taxes, pension insurance, gratuity, compensation, inheritance capital gains, unearned income, repairs death, liabilities, memorials etc. 9th house Education, distant and foreign trips, literary work, academic career, religion, faith future plans, journalism, legal matters consultancy, politics, cultural activities communications, transport and relations. 10th house Career, social status, father, government superiors, VIPs, politics, business, job, profession, public life. 11th house Friends, associates, relatives, members, corporations, companies, co-operative societies, clubs, unions, teams, groups, political parties and associations. 12th house Privacy, secrecy, solitude, self-undoing temples, prisons, courts, escapism, spiritualism teaching, journalism, recreation, obstacles, confusion, stalemate, inertia, psychic fears, foreign affairs, medical profession, pharmacy hospitals and institutions.

Good aspects give favourable results regarding the matters signified by each house, and evil aspects give adverse results. If moon forms good aspect, to a planet in a house and evil aspect to a planet in a different house, both good and bad results relating to the two different houses.

Good aspects to the Ascendant in the Natal or Progressed horoscope gives favourable results of the First House and evil aspects cause adverse results. Similarly good and bad aspects to MC or 10th house in the natal chart or PH give favourable and adverse results regarding the affairs of the tenth house.

Foreknowledge of the future trends helps us to make decisions and take precautions. Solar aspects are powerful. Fortunate events take place when progressed Sun forms trine and sextile aspect to Jupiter, Venus, Saturn or other planets or conjuncts Jupiter, Venus or Mercury. Adverse events happen when Progressed Sun conjuncts or forms square or opposition to Saturn, Uranus and other planets.

Good aspects to Moon in the 9^th house during progress favour education foreign trip, academic career, publications, pilgrimage and cultural activities. Well aspected Moon in the 10^th house favour career arts, politics, public life and business. Similarity well aspected Moon in the PH in the 7th house favour partnership, marriage engagement, politics, arts and sports.
