Half Drunk

Subba Rao asked Appa Rao "What happened to your leg? You are limping!"

"I was only half drunk yesterday," Appa Rao replied.

Unable to comprehend, Subba Rao asked his friend what the connection was.

"Had I been fully drunk, I would have fallen unconscious there in the bar itself; as I was a little sober, I started home and fell in a pit on the road."
