Preparation

  • Heat oil. Temper mustard seed in the oil and add Onions and let braise for one minute.
  • Add Tomatoes, Chilly powder and Salt and let cook for two minutes.
  • Soak Avarakklu overnight, boil till soft. Strain and retain the strained water.
  • Roast and grind Uchellu, Chana dal and Coriander seeds.
  • Add the strained water and let cook for five minutes.
  • Add salt to taste.
