G S R Anjaneyulu, Writes a Song in Just Three Minutes
HamaraShehar.com is presenting you the chance of going through his excellent expressions, which he expressed during an interaction: Q: Who inspired you, a science student towards literature and arts? A: I was branded in my school days as sharp memory boy. Any subject matter used to get directly deep into my brain. I was always standing on top. During those days, I was regularly prompted from within to reproduce my thoughts on to paper. This was more when I was with nature. At that juncture, I was reading more of Sarath, Ravindranath Tagore, Thenneti Hemalatha, Vishwanadha Satyanarayana and Dr CNR. I attempted to translate my views on to paper, after reading many renowned persons’ works. My class and schoolmates were first audience for my scripts. They always appreciated me and encouraged for doing much better. Thus took off my journey into literature. For prose, I had influence of Chalam and for poetry, especially songs Dr CNR on the backdrop. Q: You started with prose first and did more with poetry. Any reason? A: More than prose, a song can find a better place in the audience’s heart and thought. You can find this with the existence of folklores from time immemorial. For example, a child may or may not be comfortable on his mother’s lap. But, definitely will be comfortable with his mother’s song and will go to sleep very fast, immersed in the song. Here it is, the prominence for the song. We can observe workers in fields, fishermen on river and sea waters, women working in the backyard, everyone for that matter has a song on their lips for driving them untiringly towards accomplishing their work. A story or a novel is restricted to a particular class of readers, whereas a song will be stealing everyone’s heart. That is the reason I like songs very much, than writing prose. I always attempt to sharpen my pen to pour the overflowing thoughts onto paper in the form of a song. Once, I mentioned my mind in a song like this, “a song, a word, a poem is my life – I would travel my journey of life with them”. Q: How many songs and compilations dropped from your pen? A: Many and many. More than 3,000 songs from them will be totally relinquishing the audience from stress and taking them to divine experiences. There are devotional, teasing, love, revolutionary, sorrow and songs for every mood. Some were aired and telecast; many are in the form of audiocassettes. Here, I should definitely make a mention about a special quality in me. Once I sit for writing a song, it will be completed just within three minutes. Being a singer myself all my songs will take birth in a musically lyrical form. If necessary, I will be making small alterations here and there. I will treat it as complete, only if it appeals to me. If we look at publications, Naa Brathuku (collection of poetry), Aalochana (a book on psychology) and NTR Aalochanalu (about the attitudes of NTR and his party Telugu Desam) were written I published all these three and distributed freely. Q: How are coping to balance profession and your obsession? A: Profession is a profession, in its place. Literature is my obsession. I was committed to both of them independently. When I could not take out time for demanding situations in my job, I used to burn the late night oil. An unknown urge and quest drove me all the time. Songs used to flow automatically onto the paper directly from the layers of thoughts, exactly reflecting the moods I had during that time. I should thank my spouse. She has been my first audience always, and would continue to be. Sometimes, she used to write the songs, when I was dictating. Many songs came out in her handwriting, that way. Q: What do you aim at as a writer, poet? A: To remain in the minds of people as one of the best cinema poet. I work always in this direction taking the shoe of a critic and a reviewer of my songs. People know every word every expression is already heard. At this point, I struggle to express an expression in a different manner. My effort is to churn out newer expression filled songs by making the brain computer with software of innovative thinking. ProfileName: G S R Anjaneyulum, D.E. Telephones, Karimnagar district.
